As heard on TWITTER

one, maybe two major #kodugame lab announcements in January, starting the week of the 11th. Look for an announcement from the BETT show.

Any thoughts as to what Matt is talking about? Talk amongst yourselves.

Kodu Patch 2.3 in Peer Review

Hey guys - just to let you know Kodu Patch 2.3 is in peer review. Hopefully this one will check out and we'll get our servers back!

Keep an eye on the boards for updates -- I'll check on the progress periodically and report back if there are any issues.

Okay, don't panic ... But the Sharing Zones are a little messed up right now.

You got the new patch, you're excited to try out the new sharing speeds and whatnot ... and you discover that if you can actually remain in a KoduZone without it booting you, you can't actually see any of the levels.

The devs know about this and they're chasing it down. Until then, just load up some of your old levels and start seeing what the new tweaks have done to your game. Chances are, you're gonna have some clean-up work to do.

UPDATE: Looks like this is a problem that will have to be fixed in a subsequent update. They'll be re-entering the patch into peer review next week. Sharing levels between friends still works just fine. So cozy up with some fellow KoduXers and keep that creativity flowin'.

Anyone have XNA Creators Club?

If you're a premium member, head on over to the creators site and review Patch 2 - it's in peer review and could use your consideration.

Nested Expressions for Kodu coming up!

So, it's been tweeted that Kodu will (in the future) have nested expressions like:

Quote:
breakthrough feature for kodu logic: nested expressions, a la: (see - apple : do - move - towards and (score - below - 10 : say 'hungry'))

or

Quote:
kodu nested logic example 2: (controller - A button : and (score > 10 : shoot)

Now, it hasn't been announced whether or not this is making it into Patch 3 in November, or in a future release. That's what I love about Kodu - devs always thinking about the next thing, and we can always be inspired by a new tool to play around with.
